Do parents feel slighted when their teenage / grown kids do not reciprocate their thoughtful gestures & gifts?

You know what wou;d make her happy and proud? Take her out to a movie or something. Just you and her, and talk to her, more importantly, LISTEN to her!! This would make my year.
