How long do I have to wait to get approved by medicaid for dental braces? in NYC?

So I went to NYU a week or two ago. I received a oral check by a professor which told me my case is pretty bad and I'll be mailed a notice for consultation. I'm just wondering how and when they'll may me the notice. I don't remembering them asking for my home address or anything. Do they just look up my address from mt medicaid? Also about how long do i have to wait? Thanks
