My father died 7 years ago. Only recently was his SSS ID found. Can the funeral benefit still be claimed?

When he was retired, he stayed for a while in the US. Eventually, when he came home after a couple of years he died. His SSS card which he eventually misplaced in the US was recently sent to me, his eldest son. He was hospitalized but subsequently due to complications, he ped away. I shouldered all expenses - hospitalization and funeral. Is it still possible for me to still file a claim for the funeral benefits of my father?
