What happened between Rory and Dean in gilmore girls at the end?

Dean was married in early season 4 and by the time season 4's finale came around, Dean and his wife, Lindsay, were having problems. Dean told Rory his marriage wasn't working out. Rory slept with Dean in that finale. They dated again in season five until Emily and Richard decided to throw a party at their house to find Rory a suitable boyfriend. Dean picked her up from the party and when Rory came out of the elder Gilmore house, Logan and the sub party Rory had joined, followed her out. Dean said he didn't belong there and he left. He appeared in a few episodes after their break up, but we didn't see him season 6. I believe Dean's storyline is up, just like Milo Ventimiglia (Jess) believes Jess' storyline is up.
