What to wear for interview as editor at a museum?

I have an interview coming up for an editorial position at a fine arts museum. I want to dress up, but I don't want to look too corporate. So artsy/trendy/sharp but not excessive, of course, but I don't want to look like the suit is wearing me. I am wondering if a really nice wisket cut black colored shirt with gray slacks would work. And with or without a jacket? This is driving me crazy. I came home with a really great suit yesterday -- a linen rayon blend and tan. It looks good .... but maybe not stylish enough and doesn't feel like "me." I know an interview is not a fashion statement, but feeling comfortable in your own skin is imporant to. In short: PLEASE HELP!
