Is it a rabid animal? If it is, can rabies spread through air?

There are PLENTY of outdoor cats..it could just be a cat sleeping outside. Also, raccoons and skunks can be out in daylight. NO, of course rabies cannot be spread through the air.. you must be bitten and the infected saliva must get into your bloodstream. If there was a rabies outbreak in your area, you would know about it. Calm down, you are overreacting.
